Presentation on Entry to the Path of the Panditas:
|
Tuesday, December 29 – Thursday, December 31
Normally, the final days of the year at Dhagpo are dedicated to a study and meditation retreat centered on Jigme Rinpoche’s daily instructions. The purpose of this retreat is to give anyone who seeks them the means to cultivate a daily practice imbued with clarity and compassion. Lama Jigme Rinpoche shows us how—starting where we are and taking inspiration from the Buddha’s teachings—we can cultivate qualities that enrich our daily lives and support the path to liberation. In the particular conditions of his end-of-year course which is held online, Jigme Rinpoche asked the senior students of Dhagpo to give a general presentation of the text of the great Ju Mipham Rinpoche (1846-1912), Gateway to Knowledge, emphasizing the usefulness of such a study in the context of meditative practice. We therefore offer three sessions by audio to (re)discover this text and the way in which it is useful for meditative practice. The senior students of Dhagpo and Kundreul Ling are trained by Jigme Rinpoche, khenpo Chödrak Rinpoche or at the Sri Diwakar academy in Kalimpong. It is on this basis that they explain point by point each of the themes addressed in the text.

In general, when we physically attend this type of teaching, we take part in course fees that cover the expenses the center incurs to make Dharma transmission possible. In light of the current circumstances and the transmission via Youtube intended for the greatest number of people possible, these teachings will be open-access and free of charge. Of course, it is still possible to support Dhagpo’s KDC Congregation—whose activity has been greatly reduced since mid-March—by making a (non tax-deductible) donation via Paypal or bank transfer (see the information below for details.
