17th Gyalwa Karmapa"Buddhism is a way of life through which we develop the qualities of our mind.
This way of life is very unusual, as it is a means to attain happiness without harming others.

THE 17th GYALWA KARMAPA

Clarity and Compassion: Study and Meditation Retreat

 Lama Jigme Rinpoche

Sunday, May 21–Tuesday, May 24

Born in 1949, Jigme Rinpoche received directly from the 16th Karmapa the entirety of the transmissions. After 40 years spent in Europe, Rinpoche has acquired a profound knowledge of Westerners. His teaching and his example inspire practitioners and all who meet him across the world. Today, he is the General Secretary of the 17th Karmapa and the author of numerous works that render Buddhism accessible to all. Certain of his teachings have been transcribed and are available in the form of booklets.

Clarity and Compassion: Study and Meditation Retreat

The path that the Buddha proposed consists in clarifying the mind so that we may have greater freedom in our choices. Based on careful examination of our situation, we become aware of our inner wealth as well as the obstacles to its expression. By relying on the explanations we receive, we cultivate a quality of presence to ourselves and others. Using a progressive approach made up of teachings, guided meditations, and moments of exchange, Lama Jigme Rinpoche shows us how we can cultivate the qualities to enrich our daily lives and support the path to liberation from within ourselves. During each course, Rinpoche focuses on a particular theme of Buddhism and guides us toward practice that takes place in our day-to-day lives, made up of clarity and compassion.
