17th Gyalwa Karmapa"Buddhism is a way of life through which we develop the qualities of our mind.
This way of life is very unusual, as it is a means to attain happiness without harming others.

L’Institut est financé !

Dear Friends,

We come to you today bearing excellent news: thanks to your unerring support, the Dhagpo Institute is now fully financed!

We wish to thank you for your steady commitment to this project, which represents the last of the five wishes made by the XVIth Karmapa for the sustainable development of Buddhism in the West.

Today, the Institute not only provides an ideal setting to transmit and put into practice the Buddha’s teachings in its temple, but also offers a space to train the teachers of tomorrow, to reflect together on societal challenges through the Education Forum, and to safeguard and make accessible in the Library a significant documentary and cultural archive.

As Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa put it :

My predecessor and the masters of his time brought their contribution through writing History: they planted the roots of Buddhism beyond the Himalayas and we are the result of that. In turn, we now have the opportunity to be part of History and contribute to developing the Buddha’s Dharma for future generations. So we have to roll up our sleeves!

Should you wish to continue supporting Dhagpo’s development, you may reallocate your donations to the project “A Garden to Meditate”. You will find more information on this initiative on the site: www.stoupa.dhagpo.org
