Being Present—A Skill Worth Developing

17 October 2015 - 18 October 2015

Event Navigation

illu_presence_findevieBeing present with people who are suffering is an act of kindness and, for ourselves, an opportunity to face our own functioning, emotions, expectations, and preconceptions. Understanding grief and the process of dying is necessary to accompany someone on this journey—whether you are a loved one, a volunteer, or a health professional—but your attitude remains the most important part. Four quality speakers, who have joined us in the past, share their knowledge and experiences in connection with the Buddhist tradition.

Speakers
Dr Christophe Fauré, Psychiatric Doctor, Paris
Dr Pascale Vinant, Doctor of Palliative Care, Paris
Mme Dominique Davous, Space for Ethical Reflection, Île-de-France, and Working with Absence Association (grief accompaniment for parents and siblings after the death of a child)
Anila Trinlé, Buddhist nun, teacher, and grief and end-of-life coach
This seminar will be moderated by Lama Puntso, teacher and head of the Atelier of Knowledge
