THE 17th GYALWA KARMAPA

Homage to Gendun Rinpoche A Day of Practice in Homage to Gendun Rinpoche

Homage to Gendun Rinpoche
(1918–1997)

October 31, 1997 Gendun Rinpoche's parinirvana took place. Twenty years have now passed since he left us after devoting the last part of his life to transmitting Buddhism in France and in Europe. A greatly accomplished practitioner sent by the Gyalwa Karmapa, he allowed thousands of Westerners to commit to and practice the Buddha's path. This year, we will celebrate the memory of this exceptional being with several events.

Wednesday, November 1

A Day of Practice in Homage to Gendun Rinpoche

During this day of practice, Gendun Rinpoche's disciples will lead the accumulation of Chenrezig's mantra and celebrate the offering feast of Milarepa. These two meditation practices were dear to Rinpoche. We invite everyone to take part in this mani accumulation, on your own or with the group.
