"Buddhism is a way of life through which we develop the qualities of our mind. This way of life is very unusual, as it is a means to attain happiness without harming others.THE 17th GYALWA KARMAPA
Saturday, April 29–Monday, May 1
The aggregates (skt. skandhas) indicate the composite aspect of phenomena, the sources (skt. ayatanas) explain how knowledge occurs, and the elements (skt. dhatus) show that phenomena are not created by an external entity. Knowledge of these three aspects leads to the understanding that there is no self at the heart of the individual or of outer things. Khenpo Ngedon explains why phenomena are presented this way and show how all things are impermanent, composite, and interdependent. This approach forms the basis for meditation practice.
